We started because good inputs were reaching the wrong shelf

Global India Bio-Plantech was set up in Lucknow to put honest, correctly-labelled crop nutrition within reach of the ordinary Uttar Pradesh farmer — not just the large estate.

Our story

Eighteen seasons of learning what a field actually needs

The company began in 2008 as a small blending and repacking unit serving dealers around Lucknow. The problem we kept running into was not availability — it was reliability. A bag would say 19:19:19 and assay at something else. A humic powder would refuse to dissolve. A micronutrient mix would cake solid before it reached the counter.

Farmers absorbed the cost of that every single season, and they had no way to prove it. So we did the boring thing: we built our own laboratory, started assaying every batch, and refused to ship what did not match its label.

Today we manufacture 36 products across three ranges, supply roughly 850 dealers in 12 states, and still run the same rule. It has cost us batches. It has never cost us a dealer.

Milestones

How the plant grew

Slowly, and mostly by adding capability rather than capacity — a laboratory before a second shift, an agronomy team before a bigger sales team.

See what we make today

  1. 2008Blending unit, Lucknow

Started with granular blends for dealers within a 100 km radius.

  2. 2012In-house quality laboratory

Assay, moisture and solubility testing brought in-house. Batch retention samples begin.

  3. 2016Water-soluble line commissioned

Humidity-controlled packing hall added so soluble grades stop caking in storage.

  4. 2019Bio-organic range launched

Super Gold and Super Shakti introduced after two seasons of demo-plot trials.

  5. 2022Agronomy field team

Dedicated agronomists start running dealer and farmer training ahead of each season.

  6. 202636 products, 12 states

Catalogue spans bio-organic, water-soluble, micronutrient, bio-stimulant and crop protection.

What we are trying to do

Mission, vision, and the line we do not cross

01

Mission

Put correctly formulated, correctly labelled crop nutrition within the reach of the small and medium Indian farmer, at a price that still leaves them a margin.

02

Vision

Soil that is measurably healthier after ten seasons of our products than before them. Yield without stripping the ground that produced it.

03

The line

No batch ships if the assay does not match the label. No dealer is pushed stock they cannot sell. No claim goes on a bag that the demo plot did not support.

Where it is actually made

Three lines run under one roof: granulation and screening for the organic and granular range, dry blending for powders, and a liquid formulation line with a separate filling hall for crop protection products.

  • Humidity-managed packing for all water-soluble grades
  • Screened granulation for consistent granule size across a lot
  • Separate handling and storage for crop protection chemistry
  • Tamper-evident packs from 30 g pouches to 50 kg HDPE bags
  • Retention samples held against every dispatched batch

Quality control

The laboratory has the final word — not the dispatch schedule

Raw material is tested on arrival. Work-in-progress is checked during blending. Finished goods are assayed again before packing. Only then does a lot number get released.

If a batch fails, it is reworked or written off. That decision sits with quality control, and it is not overruled because a truck is waiting. This is the single policy that most shapes how the company runs.

  • Nutrient assay against declared label composition
  • Moisture content and free-flow behaviour
  • Solubility and residue check for water-soluble grades
  • pH, bulk density and granule size distribution
  • Three-year retention of batch records and samples
Our people

Small team, long tenure

Production, quality and agronomy sit in the same building and argue with each other regularly. That is by design.
